The American Dream Today? America is suffering the worst depression in history. No one in the country is making money. Business are closing down or forced to close because of the debt they must pay off. Families living on the streets in the city because they do not have jobs to make the they need. Those who live on the farms, are now living on the side of the road because they could not sell their crops. Everyone know this awful time as The Great Depression. People come from all over the world come to the UN to fulfill their dream, the American dream. Immigrants come to the UN to life a content life, but what they face is different from what they expected. Immigrants have to face segregation at jobs and society. That is not the American dream, not when most of the money is placed in a small amount of hands and those people will not even spend that money because they think they will lose it all. Everywhere, fear of losing money, fear of not making money, and the worry of when the next meal will come. When everyone live a un-fearful life, thats when the American dream can start. Obituary A young women with unfulfilled dreams living on a farm with no hope of escaping. Emma Ross, raised by Rebecca and Timothy Ross, lived a normal life of a farm girl but never had a real education. When she turned 20, she met a man by the name of Curly White. A rich man with a father who was rich with land. When paired up with each other there was a great difference. Curly was short sized and short tempered. She never liked men who caused trouble, but her family wanted her to marry him because they knew that they were going to lose their farm because of the depression. She married Curly and her family was out of debt. As a young child she never liked staying in one place. She liked to wonder around the farm and just talk to people, because of that she gained a bad reputation with the men. Other people thought of her as a tart but there where a few people knew the truth. That she was lonely and she just wanted to someone talk to. No one knows why she died but justice was severed when a man killed the large murderer. She will be put to rest on the Whites Estate, on Sunday at 8:00am in Soledad, California.
